Pauline Cowart

Pauline Cowart, longtime resident of the Dawes community, passed away November 6, 2017, at her home.
She was born July 16, 1922, in Gainesville, Florida. She was a devoted homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William S. and Eula Heard, husband, Thomas E. Cowart Sr. and son Charles W. Cowart. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Junior Heard and sister Lucille Williams.
She is survived by five children; Mary South, Mobile, AL; Paulette Kelly, Virginia Beach, VA; Donna Wells, Mobile, AL; Thomas E. (Barbara) Cowart, Creola, AL and Michael (Tonja) Cowart, Mobile, AL.
Twelve Grandchildren ; Keith Wilson, Joey Wilson, Woody Wilson, Charles Kelly, D'Wana Fleming, Kelly Earle, David Cowart, Chuck Cowart, Jennifer Baxter, Krystal Wells, Valene Wells and Matthew Wells.
Twenty-five Great-Grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Daniel Spriggs and St. Joseph Hospice, caregivers; Shamarion, Donna and Andrea, Lola, Pat, Nell and Jackie, for the wonderful care of our Mother.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 5-8pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, November 10, 2017 at 9:30am from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Airport Blvd. Mobile, AL, following the service.
