Percy Joseph Roberts

Percy Joseph "Joe" Roberts, 79, of Mobile, Alabama passed away at his home on August 6, 2024. Percy was born on December 23, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama to Percy Roberts and Leila Cook Roberts.

Joe, a lifelong resident of Tanner Williams, was a 6th generation farmer and was a Century Farm recipient. He received the Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year award in 1972, and was a proud former member of the Jaycees. Joe was a member of Roberts Chapel Methodist from birth to young adulthood. During his time at the church, he dedicated his time and talents by serving on numerous committees. Joe was a generous giver to people in need. He showcased his love of serving others when he went on several mission trips to Chile, Mexico, and Russia. Joe is currently a charter member of Luke 4:18 Fellowship where he served as a deacon. Joe loved collecting and restoring antique farm tractors and equipment. He also loved traveling throughout the United States and abroad. Joe was full of life and laughter, liked most people, and loved all dogs. He loved all of his family, and they could always count on him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Percy Dawson Roberts; mother, Leila Cook Roberts; three sibling in early childhood and his brother, Russell Roberts.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Norma Faye Roberts; his son, Brian and his daughter, Christy; his sister Janice (Art) Framke, grandsons, Dawson and Paden Roberts, and nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

Joe's family will celebrate his life with a funeral service on Saturday August 10, 2024, at Luke 4:18 Fellowship Church at 12:00 pm with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Joe will be laid to rest in Roberts Chapel Cemetery.
