Perry Cox

Perry Donald Cox "Donnie," age 84, died Saturday, October 2, 2021. Donnie was born in Washington, Arkansas to Albert Cox and Louise Springs Lamb. As a lifelong resident of Semmes, Alabama, he became the embodiment of a true southern gentleman. He grew in his love for the Lord, nature, and his bride of 62 years. In his free time, he loved to play bluegrass music and would travel locally with his wife to play. When he was not spending time with his family or on the land, he spent several decades working for The International Paper Company until his retirement. Donnie is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lavon, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Donnie was predeceased by his father and mother, Albert and Louise.
Pallbearers are Samuel Lee, James Deese, Jake Dempsey, Steven Moon, Chris Shoemaker and Barton Hunter Prince.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm followed by the Graveside Service at 2:00 pm.
