Philip D. Hoppe, 69, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away, Friday, February, 2nd, 2018 at Lynwood Nursing Home.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00, Tuesday February 6, 2018 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three North Rd, Mobile, AL 36619, with a graveside service to follow. Visitation will start at 11am. Philip was born August 31, 1948 in Iowa City, Iowa to Doctor and Mrs. William Hoppe. He graduated from Murphy high school in 1966. After high school he joined the Airforce and served in the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Barbara in 1970.
Philip is survived by Barbara, his wife of 47 years, son William Hoppe of Mobile; daughter Jennifer Ruhberg of Dallas Texas; three grandchildren Kasee, Patrick, and Madison; sisters Annabelle Walker of New Orleans, and Sue Massey of Semmes Alabama; as well as a niece and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, and mother-in-law Virginia Coomes. Philip was a dedicated husband, father, and brother.
