Prentiss Wilson

Prentiss E. Wilson, age 87, passed away on December 29, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. A resident of Mobile, Alabama and formerly a resident of Panama City, Florida and Richardson, Texas. He was a native of Bedford County, Virginia, born on June 10, 1929 to Earl & Viola Wilson. Including his parents, Prentiss was preceded in death by his siblings, James S. Wilson, Russell O. Wilson and Hazel B. Otey. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hudson Wilson; children, Gene L. (Susan) Wilson, Kaye W. (Bill) Hart; granddaughter, Christy Sakin; great grandchildren, Tara Sakin and Kelly Sakin. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of New London Academy, Virginia Commercial College both in Lynchburg, VA. He served in the US Air Force for four years at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, Florida. He retired after 34 years from International Paper Company as a Systems Analyst in Information Systems Development. He was a former member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church and a current member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM from Dauphin Way Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dauphin Way Baptist Church or charity of your choice.
