Preston Smith

Preston Gene Smith, 91, died Thursday, December 1, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents Alt and Zelma Smith, his eleven siblings, his oldest son Gary Smith and grandchild Corey Smith.  He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Doris Nell Smith; three children Kim Hastie (John), Rick Smith (Maria), Carlotta Rushing (Trevor) and grandchildren Jordan Stringfellow (Kyle), Lyndsey Smith, Preston Smith, Hannah Hastie and Smith Rushing.  Preston was a long time member of George U Potter Masonic Lodge where he was raised to Master Mason in August 1977. He also served as a District Lecturer on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Alabama. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Tillman’s Corner.  Visitation and services are Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Three Notch Road.  Visitation is at 1:00 p.m. with services immediately following at 2:00 p.m.
