Ray Ellis Johnson, a native of Range, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Earl Johnson and Sula Viola Ryals Johnson; his wife, Barbara Johnson; and his brother, Kenneth Johnson. His survivors include his children, Raymond A. (Cheryl) Johnson, Connie Johnson (Eddie) Eccles, Donna Johnson (Jason) Dixon and Angela "Angel" Johnson (Josh) Sheffield; one brother, Guy (Helen) Johnson; his sister, Carolyn Johnson (Mike) Brantley; eight grandchildren, Justin, Magan and Brandon Stalmach, Brianna Dixon, Taylor and Ty Sheffield, and Victoria and Olivia Johnson; one great-granddaughter, Nina Kephart; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 8:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
