Raymond gained his Heavenly Breath Saturday, July 9, 2022 at his home with his wife and family with him after a long illness with COPD at 68 years of age.
He was a heavy equipment operator, a trade he learned in his years with the US Army. He worked at International Paper and later with Mobile County Public School System as a Maintenance Engineer at Kate Shepherd Elementary School before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents Murray and Regena Buck and his brother, Phil Buck.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa Bowman Buck; son, David Buck; grandson, Raymond Eli Buck; brother, Bruce (Debbie) Buck and his canine companion, Suzy.
In addition, he leaves to cherish his memory are his sister's and brother's-in-love, Joy and Henry Page, Anita and Rick Armstrong, and Rhonda and Alan Stevens; nieces and nephews, Darrell, Daniel, Clayton, Eric (Tess), Tori, Holly (Patrick), Emily, Phillip (Natalie) and Jeanie (Richard); good friends, Jerry Powell and David Burroughs and many great nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Services will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, July 14, 2022 with visitation from 10:30 am until service time at 12:00 noon.
Raymond's ashes will be scattered in his beloved Cades Cove, Smokey Mountains, TN at a later date.
