Richard Stone

STONE
(August 3- 1948 - September 23, 2016) - Richard Jerry Stone of Mobile, Alabama, passed away suddenly on September 23, 2016. Rick was a native and long-term resident of Mobile and employed by the Pilot family. He was a graduate of Vigor High School's class of 1967, and excelled in track, football, baseball and basketball. He attended Yancey State Junior College (Faulkner State). He was an avid University of Alabama football fan (Roll Tide.) Rick is survived by his wife of 28 years, Angela Brobst Stone, sons Richard Kerry Stone and Jason Alan Douglas (Keri), grandchildren Richard Perry Stone, Pierce Arthur Stone, Samuel Grayson Douglas, Cooper Anthony Douglas, Jack Hardy Douglas, sister Sandra Norsworthy Sumner, numerous nieces and nephews, close friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Richard Berry and Geneva Stone. There is visitation time with the family from 4-6pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Mobile SPCA in Rick's honor.
