Robert Bond

Mr. Robert Derwin Bond, turned 100 years old on February 22. Mr. Bond passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at a local hospital. He was a former member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church from the 1950's until its closing. He was a current member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Iva L. Bond; two daughters, Sandra Bond (Richard) Bowers, Brenda Bond (Graham) Golden; brother; Glen (Jan) Bond; sister, Myrtle Irving; three grandchildren, Rick Bowers, Megan Golden, Holland Golden; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 12 noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
