Robert Taylor Craig, Sr., a native of Manila, AR and resident of Mobile, AL for over 60 years, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the age of 87. Mr. Craig was one of the original founders of Kingswood United Methodist Church in Mobile and was retired from the GM&O Railroad. He loved to fish and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 47 years, Eudessa Halley Craig; and his five sisters. His survivors include his daughters, Marina (Wendell) Harwell of Round Rock, TX, Linza Lee (Robert) Hall of Jonesborough, TN, Halley Ann (Ben) Spafford of Dauphin Island, AL; his sons, Ellis Andrew (Terry) Markovic of Broomfield, CO, Robert Taylor Craig, Jr. of Mobile, AL, and John Burton Craig of Theodore, AL; his brother, Lewis (Linda) Craig; his very special friend, Jessie Kelly; five grandchildren, Nancy Patricia (Faheem) Gwadry, Christopher Andrew Markovic, Gregory James Markovic, Steven Austin Etheredge and Benjamin Mark Spafford, Jr.; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Monday, May 11, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 Noon.
