Robert Theodore Odiorne Jr.
Robert (Bobby) Theodore Odiorne Jr. was born on December 16,1931 in Wetumpka, AL and died February 1, 2020, in Sacramento, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Theodore Odiorne Sr. and Christine Knox Odiorne. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Maggie J. Odiorne, son Robert T. (Ted) Odiorne III (Barbara) and grandson Chad, of Carmichael, CA, and granddaughter Alicia Latoski (Jason) and great grandson Hudson Latoski of Elk Grove, CA.
Bobby graduated in 1949 from Murphy High School, Mobile, AL and married his sweetheart, Maggie, on December 31, 1950 at First Baptist Church, Chickasaw, AL. He began his career at Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile as a tool & die machinist, was transferred to Tinker AFB, Oklahoma and retired from McClellan AFB, Sacramento, CA.
Known as “Pop” by his family, he was well-respected at home and at work as a craftsman fascinated with the creative skills he acquired over a lifetime. Many family and friends benefitted greatly from his hobbies and personal projects.
The funeral will be held on February 13 at Mobile Memorial Gardens with visitation at 11:00 a.m. and grave-side service at 12:00 noon. Arrangements are being handled by Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL 36619.
