Robert "Bob" Eugene Powell, III, a native and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the age of 71. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Murphy High School; a retired electrician and formerly owned and operated Fowler Electric Co. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, animals, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, spending quality time with his family and friends and loved spending time in Camden, AL in Wilcox County where he lived for approximately 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Eugene Powell, Jr. and Jennie Winona Bryars Powell. His survivors include his son, Benjamin Brian (Samantha) Powell of Austin, TX; two sisters, Elaine Powell (Wayne) Williams and Teresa Powell (Mike) Collins; two grandchildren, Logan and Holden Powell; niece, Ashley Mareno (Jeff) Kuhr; great-niece, Carson Elizabeth Kuhr; and great-nephew, Brady Powell Kuhr. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Jeff Spiller, will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM from Christ United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
