Ronald James Cherry Obituary
Ronald James Cherry, age 70, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born on January 9th, 1953, in Montgomery, Alabama, and passed on October 3rd, 2023. Ronald was a graduate of the University of South Alabama, where he studied business. Later in life he was able to open his own construction company. He thoroughly enjoyed boat rides, spending time with family, and watching Auburn Football. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a teenager during the Vietnam war and was a member of the local VFW and American Legion.
Ronald is preceded in death by; his mom, Sarah Brown Cherry; his dad, Walter James Cherry; his sister, Dianne Smith; nephew, Robert Nobles; as well as his mother and father-in-law, William and Flossie Peacock.
Ronald Cherry is survived by; his loving wife, Janet Peacock Cherry; his four children, Brittney Nobles, Sarah Renee' (Zachary) Chaltain, William Jarrod (Hannah) Cherry, and Andrew Benjamin Cherry; his five grandchildren, Bexley, Elena, Lyla, Hudson, and Waylon; his brother, Mark Cherry; his sister, Cheryl Nobles; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Gretchen, Johnny, Carol, Mike, and Lois Peacock; Close family friends, Don Reynolds, Mark and Janelle Parrillo; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ronald Cherry will be held Saturday, October 7th, 2023, at 10 A.M.; at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Fr. John Lynes, pastor of Little Flower Catholic Church officiating. Prior to the service a visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M.
Pallbearers: Andrew Benjamin Cherry, William Jarrod Cherry, Zachary David Chaltain, Patrick Curtis Lilley, Don Reynolds, and Richard Dix.
Honorary Pallbearer: Mark Parrillo.
