Ronnie Lee Salva was born May 28, 1948, in Mobile, Alabama. He was 73.
Ronnie passed away peacefully at his brother's residence in Bay Minette, Alabama surrounded by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Salva. His parents, Alexander Salva Sr. and Ada (Hobden) Salva. Two brothers, Alexander (Sonny) Salva Jr. and Joseph Salva, four sisters, Ruby Sims, Gloria Jernigan, Betty Bradley, and Mary LeBlanc.
Survived by one sister, Anita Cowert (Billy), three brothers, Don Salva (Ruby), Robert Salva Sr. (Deborah), Michael Salva (Becky). Three sons, Robert Atwater (Karen), Rodney Atwater (Donna), and Ronnie Salva Jr. (Sandra), and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ronnie was a Diesel Mechanic for most of his life. He was retired from Cummins of Alabama. He was a lifelong member of St. Philips Neri Church of Belfountain, Alabama.
He enjoyed serving as an Altar Boy as a child. Later he enjoyed fishing, helping with Lawn Parties, and fish fries, and family gatherings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 10 am from St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Interment will be at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 5 to 8 pm.
