BELL
K. Rosalie Bell - A native and lifelong resident of Mobile passed away Friday May 20, 2016 at Sacred Heart Residence. Rosalie was 95 years old and was preceded in death by her parents Robert Douglas and Clara McGraw Bell, brother, T. D. Bell and sisters, Clara Bell Dooley, Mary Llewelyn Bell and Margaret Bell Shields. She is survived by nine nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews, three great great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. Rosalie was an employee of Alabama Dry Dock and Shipbuilding Company for 45 years, and retired as the Administrative Assistant in the Insurance Department. She enjoyed participating as a member of the ADDSCO Bowling Team. She was long time active member and served as an Officer of the American Business Women's Association. After retirement she spent a number of years working in the D'Iberville Apartments Office.
She was a parishioner of Little Flower Church, Altar Society Member of St. Catherine Church, and secretary at St. Joan of Arc Church. She was known to many as our fun loving "Aunt Rosalie", always ready, willing and able to look after her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. She could never say "no" to family or friends that needed her help and companionship. God bless her and all of those she touched. We love her and will miss her!
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the chapel of the Sacred Heart Residence of the Little Sisters of the Poor at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 28, 2016. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Little Sisters. Interment will follow in Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Little Sisters of the Poor and their amazing Staff for their tireless efforts and love in her care. In lieu of flowers we would ask that donations be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1655 McGill Avenue, Mobile, AL 36604.
