Ruby Belinda Barrett Harris, native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Saturday, July 29, 2017. She was retired, after 28 years of service, as Assistant Supervisor in the State District Court in Mobile County and served 10 years as a clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Barrett and Daisy Overstreet Barrett; her son, Kevin L. Harris, and half-brother, Victor L. Stewart. Her survivors include her husband, Jerry L. Harris; daughter, Sandra (James) Colby; brother, Ronnie (Phyllis) Barrett; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. Mark Neske, will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from Holy Family Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at Tillman's Corner Community Center.
