RUBY CAROLYN HOUSE DYSON-WILLIAMS
July 9, 1927 ~ June 11, 2018

Ruby Carolyn House Dyson-Williams, "Mama D", a native of McCullough, Alabama, and a resident of Mobile for 90 years, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, June 11, 2018, at 6:30 A.M.
She spent her life in service to helping others in need and making people laugh. Though she departed this world, her spirit of love will live on through the lives of those she touched. One of her passions in life was the Women's Aglow Ministries, in which she gave her continuous support and efforts throughout her life; Her Aglow sisters were part of her family. Another ministry that was dear to her heart was the Home of Grace in Mobile, Alabama. She really and truly believed that God uses women to change their homes, work and ultimately the world. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Hicks Dyson Jr. (married 53 years), Harper Williams; father, Leon O'Neal House; mother, Ruby Elizabeth Posey House; sister, Mavis House Thomas; brothers, Herbert House and O'Neal House; and grandchild, Annette Dyson.
Ruby is survived by her four sons, Earl Dyson (Kathryn), Ronald Dyson (Christine), Michael Dyson (Kim) and Randall Dyson (Julia).
Eight grandchildren, Katie Dyson-Lord (David), Robert Dyson (Nancy), Ben Dyson (Tara), Ron Dyson Jr. (Meredith), Adam Dyson, Alexandria Dyson-Williams (Caleb), Lauren Dyson-Killgore (Kane) and Oscar Dyson. Twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Her sisters, Katie House-Dyson and Miriam House - George and brother, Clyde House. Many nieces and nephews and other family members that dearly loved her and was loved by her.
She opened her home to many children in need, which she called her "children of love."
Ruby loved to love. Her ultimate passion was people and laughter. She was a mother to many and a friend to all. She will live on by all of those that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Mobile Memorial Gardens funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 P.M. on the same day. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
