James Russell Jones, Sr. passed from this life way to soon on Thursday, December 8, 2016. He was a native of Heron Bay with strong ties in Mobile and Andalusia. Russell is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kim Hassell Jones; daughter, Miranda (Michael) Ebersole; son, James Russell (Amy) Jones, Jr.; grandchildren, Caroline Jones, Mikayla, Sara, Michael, and Owen Ebersole; sister, Cyndi (Terry) Cunningham; brothers, Henry (Debbie) Jones and Troy Jones plus a host of extended family and friends. A special Thank You to the numerous friends and family for their support and kindness over the last few months as Russell fought kidney cancer. Russell is now at peace and with Our Savior. As always "Walk by Faith, not by sight". Visitation will be on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 4:30 until a 7 pm chapel service at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2 pm at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery in Andalusia, AL. with Foreman Funeral Home directing. In lieu of fresh flowers the family request silk flowers or donations in memory of Russell Jones to K-Kids of Meadowlake Elementary School.
