Russell Taylor

Russell Joseph Taylor, loving husband and father, passed away in his home on January 20, 2024. Russell grew up in Brewton and Mobile, Alabama. He married his wife, Shannon Neidrick Taylor in 1998. They relocated to northern Kentucky for nine years, where Russell worked in customer service first at Applebee's and with Kroger at their head office in Cincinnati, Ohio. They moved back to Mobile with their daughter, Elaine Kaitlyn Taylor in 2009. Russell was an avid reader and animal lover. He enjoyed watching sports, movies, and all things "nerdy."

He leaves behind his wife, Shannon, their daughter, Elaine, and their two cats, Shadow and Pugsley. He is also survived by his brother, Matthew Taylor, sister-in-law, Mary (Jeffery) Neidrick Holmes, nephew Thomas Holmes and niece, Kathryn Holmes. He is preceded in death by both his parents, William and Elaine Taylor, his older brother, Philip, and several beloved pets.

A service to celebrate Russell's life will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 3 at Kingswood Methodist Church 5200 Perin Road, Mobile, Alabama 36693. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Russell's name to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Trevor Project.
