Ruth Marie Lee Jones, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 87. She was employed as a sales associate for Sears for over 30 years; was a member of Riverside Baptist Church for over 50 years; and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and working crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Ely Lee and Naomi Ruth Hudson Lee; her husband, James Wiley Jones and her sister, Juanita Lee Atchison. Her survivors include her son, Johnnie H. Jones, Sr. and his wife, Mary Helen; her daughter, Sherry Lynn Connor; her brother, Thomas E. Lee, Sr.; three grandchildren, Kayleigh Lynn Connor, Johnnie H. Jones, Jr. and Michael D. Jones and his wife, Miranda Ann; two great-grandchildren, Keaton Graham Burdine and Bentley D. Jones; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
