Sandra Pettis

Sandra "Kay" Pettis, age 81, resident of Chickasaw, Alabama, for over 60 years. She was born March 22nd, 1943, in Mobile Alabama, and passed on January 22nd, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama. Sandra Kay was a selfless, devoted wife and mother to her children. She graduated class of 1961 at C.F. Vigor high school. She enjoyed fashion and modeled in her younger years, appearing on a local broadcast "The Dot Moore Show" doing so. She worked for over 30 years at Springhill Lighting & Supply as the Corporate secretary. She enjoyed cooking for family with Italian Cream Cake and Heavenly Hash Cake being a couple of specialties surely to be included at Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Sandra liked to read, was a long time Atlanta Braves baseball and Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Her greatest joy was being known as Grandma to her granddaughters and great-grandson.

Sandra is preceded in death by; her loving husband of 37 years, Kenneth W. Pettis Sr.; her father, William H. Mann Sr.; and her mother, Helen Brantley Mann.

She is survived by; her daughter, Kenya (Mike) Dennis of Satsuma, AL; her son, Kenneth W. Pettis Jr. of Chickasaw, AL; her granddaughter, Brittni (Luke) Olsen, and great grandson, Ezra of Winter Park, FL; her granddaughter Brantli Dennis and fiancé Zach Blackmon of Birmingham, AL; her brother, William (Karen) "Bill" H. Mann Jr. of Mobile, AL; and her sister Nancy (Fred) Coats of Mobile, AL.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 31st, 2025, at 12:00 P.M., at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Mr. Jason Greene officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., on Friday January 31st, 2025.

Pallbearers: Christopher Carroll, Jason Cuff, Jeb Mann, Zack Mann, Shawn Moss, and Jesse Pettis.
