Sara Black, age 82, beloved mother and grandmother passed away the morning of November 23, 2020. Sara was born April 21, 1938, to James D. and Lettie V. Bolton. Sara was an active child, loving to spend her time outdoors in Aliceville, Alabama, where she was born. She was a member of First Baptist Church Tillman's Corner. She was married in the year 1954, starting her journey in life as a wife and mother. Sara was an amazing mother, always making sure her children were provided for. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, always selfless and loving, and was a rock for the entire family. She was a strong woman who loved her family very much, and she showed that every day through her actions. She will be missed by anyone who ever had the blessing to meet her. She enjoyed clogging, line dancing and square dancing. She is survived by her children Mitchell [Becky] Black, Penny [George] Neil, and Michelle [Jeremy] McDaniel; and her grandchildren Amee, Jennifer, Angela, Eric, Sarah, Alex, Amanda, Caitlyn, and Mia; and 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Edell Cartee. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Vernon Black, and her son, Donald Black, and her brother, George D. Bolton. Her family will receive family and friends from 11a-12p on Saturday, November 28, 2020, followed by funeral services in the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
