Scott Travis McDonald

Scott Travis McDonald, a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly at his home in Mobile, AL on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the age of 45.

Scott was born to Harold and Doris McDonald in Mobile, AL on November 17, 1977. He attended McGill-Toolen Catholic High School and graduated from the University of South Alabama with a BSN in Accounting. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity where he developed lifelong friendships.

He was currently employed with the State of Alabama Revenue Department where he was actively perusing management classes.

Scott was full of life and had many interests and hobbies. He was an amateur HAM radio operator under the call sign KK4BJV which he often enjoyed doing with his father.

Scott was also a dedicated member of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick and the Mystic Stripers Mystic Society.

Scott enjoyed reading, gaming, and sports and could be found at most Saints and Jags games. He enjoyed bike riding with his nephew and walking his dog, Zeus.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Harold McDonald, grandparents, Harold and Genevieve McDonald, Otto and Margaret Toennies, and aunt, Kathy McDonald. He is survived by his mother, Doris McDonald, sister Stacey (Wayne) Warren, nephew Landon, and nieces Larsyn and Lyla as well as uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Scott had an infectious smile and a heart of gold. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was taken from us too soon but will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 6300 McKenna Drive Mobile, AL 36609 on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 9-11 am followed by a Catholic mass and graveside burial at Mobile Memorial Gardens 6100 Three Notch Road Mobile, AL 36619.
