Scott was born in 1958 to August Wayne and Nancy Ann (Butterfield) Scrivner in Oxford, MS. He grew up in Tampa and Ft. Walton Beach, FL where he graduated from F.W.B. High School. He then moved to Mobile and went to school to become an electrician. He is survived by his mother: Nancy; children: Kathleen Woodard (Randy), James and Eric Scrivner, stepdaughter Lauren Knaps; grandchildren: Brock, Carson and Layla Woodard; siblings: Deborah Hull (David), Susan Richardson (Kim), Michael Scrivner (Leashia), and Jody Stanford (Ed); nieces: Leah and Melissa; and lots of buddies at USA. Scott recently retired from the USA's Mitchell Center after working 33 years as an electrician. Scott was a natural at taking things apart and putting them back together - correctly. He surrounded himself with lots of toys, machines, gadgets, and all the tools and parts to keep them running. He enjoyed his motorcycle, a remote controlled airplane, moped, bicycle, and a borrowed Segway. His last big adventure was in his newly purchased motor home.Scott liked being on or near the water. He once piloted his pontoon boat from Mobile to FWB. He really liked to fish . . . catching them, but not eating them. And he was an avid disc golf player. His children and grandchildren brought him great joy. Scott's family is most appreciative of Libby Cascaden's devoted efforts on his behalf. We all love and will very much miss our Scotty-Boy.
