Sharon Collier Harris
Sharon Collier Harris passed away peacefully on June 5, 2021 at the Saad Hospice Facility in Mobile, AL with her devoted husband, Mike Harris, by her side. To all who knew her, she was a loving, caring and funny individual who touched the lives of many.
Sharon (Sherry) was born August 14, 1957 in Mobile, AL, and resided in Bayou La Batre until the age of 10. She then moved with her family to Leeville, LA. She graduated high school in 1974 from South Lafourche High School. In 1977 Sharon moved with her family to Aberdeen, Scotland and a year later returned to Mobile where she attended the Mobile College School of Nursing. Once graduated, she began her successful 38-year career as a surgical nurse at Mobile Infirmary, where she made some of her most treasured and life-long friends.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Michael Harris, of 29 years; her mother, Yvonne Peters Collier; and her son, Jason Harris. She is also survived by her four siblings Michele C Rousse, Reesha C Gordon, Earl Wayne Collier, Jr. and Angela C McNally as well as her grandson, Dylan Harris. Nephews include Christopher Kilgore, Wayne John Rousse, Andrew Gordon, Eric Collier, Gavin McNally, and Eric Durand. Her nieces include Monique Kilgore, Joni Wyatt, Heather Kinder, Krista Adams, and Ashley Hurlbut. She is also survived by uncles, aunts and many cousins. Last but not least her great nieces and nephews, (AKA, her babies) Elaina and Ejay Wyatt, Lochlan and Vivian Kinder, Henry, Shepherd and Clyde Gordon, Ryan and Declan Adams, and Jace and Reed Hurlbut. We cannot forget the many special friends and loved ones of the Mobile Infirmary who Sharon worked with for many years who touched her life and whose lives she touched.
Sharon is preceded by her dad, Earl Wayne Collier, Sr, brother-in-law Jeff McNally, Grandparents Willie and Idell B Collier and Mitchell and Pearl P Peters.
Sherry's love of her family was immeasurable and knew no bounds; her humor and quick wit were her trademark. She will be deeply missed and the memories treasured.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
