REED
Nov. 3, 1943-Nov. 18, 2018
Sharon Carlee McClinton Reed, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the age of 75. Sharon graduated from Spring Hill College with a BS Degree in Psychology; was a substitute teacher at BC Rain High School for many years; was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church; and enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. We have lost one of the truest friends we've ever had. Our hearts hurt, but we rejoice at the same time as we celebrate a life lived well. Sharon was a remarkable human being. As a young adult, suddenly a single mother, she raised four children and earned the right of celebrating each mother's Day AND each Father's Day!! Life did indeed hand her lemons of which she made the best, sweetest lemonade. Sharon never met a person she didn't like and always had kind words for all. She loved her family and considered her friends a huge part of her family. She loved substitute teaching; she loved the students and the students loved her. Sharon has left us to be with the Lord and she will be truly missed. We love you, Sharon Reed. Until we meet again……..
She was preceded in death by her parents, Foster Murray McClinton and Marie Bernice Harris McClinton. Her survivors include her children, Joyelle (Victor) Wilson, Sharon Reed (Bret) Dressel, Noell (Leanne Rhodenizer) Reed, Jr. and Scott Murray Reed; eight grandchildren, Brandon (Christina) Reed, Grace Reed, Katherine Dressel, Chandler Wilson, Jordyn Wilson, Joshlynn Wilson, Anna-Karlee Wilson and Foster-Michael Wilson; one great-grandson, Jacob Lee Reed; one brother, Bryan McClinton; other relatives and friends. A memorial mass will be celebrated by Rev. Emile G. Noel, III on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 4:00 PM from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:30 PM until service time. Memorial donations in Mrs. Reed's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place #260, Memphis, TN 38105.
