Sharon Zisman

We are deeply saddened to announce that Sharon Janelle Vest Zisman passed peacefully at home on September 23, 2019.

Sharon was born on December 11, 1950 in Bakersfield, California to parents Buck and Margie Vest. It is there she spent her childhood and attended school. In 1967, on the beaches of Santa Barbara, Sharon met her husband, Walter Zisman. They married in the spring of 1970 and later welcomed two sons, Erich and Marcus. After moving to Alabama in 1979, Walter and Sharon put down roots on Dauphin Island in 1997. It is there she would spend the happiest years of her life. Sharon was a loving, devoted wife and mother and was overjoyed at the arrival of her grandchildren, Addison and Colton. Sharon was the happiest when surrounded by her entire family. Many of her hobbies were dedicated to providing for her family. She was an accomplished cook and looked forward to preparing dishes for our family gatherings. Sharon enjoyed many arts and crafts, including crocheting, and loved making items for her family and friends. Sharon enjoyed cruising and travelled throughout much of the Caribbean. Sharon also had a soft spot for animals and treated those in her life with the same love she gave her family.

Sharon is survived by her husband Walter Zisman; sons Marcus Zisman and Erich Zisman (Melissa Zisman); grandchildren Addison and Colton; and her fur-babies, Lucy and Lily.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday October 5th, 2019 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL. Visitation will start at 1p.m.
