Sharon Davis Tharp

Sharon Elaine Davis Tharp joined her heavenly Father December 1, 2022. A lifelong Mobilian, her greatest joy was her family and the close bond they share. She made friends everywhere she went with her infectious smile and kind heart. Sharon was a longtime member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church and a graduate of Murphy High School, the University of Southern Mississippi, and the University of South Alabama. She poured so much of herself into the lives of countless children during her over thirty years of school teaching in Mobile County.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Zerleen Davis, and daughter Rebecca. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, James A. Tharp, Jr., children David (Faith), Randy (Kimberly), and Allison all of Mobile, and grandchildren Trey, Laura Kate, Davis, Zachery, and Victoria.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 10:00 to 12:00 at Mobile Memorial Gardens with a memorial service and interment immediately afterwards.
