Shelby Jean Williams Arnett, a longtime resident of Bayou La Batre, AL, died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the age of 81. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and was employed in the seafood industry in Bayou La Batre, AL for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Delano Arnett and her son, Kirby Delano Arnett. Her survivors include her son, Gil Michael (Julia) Arnett; one sister, Pearl Williams (Curtis) Mallon; her granddaughter, April (Tommy) Ladnier; her grandson, Michael (Katie) Arnett; one great-granddaughter, Peyton Ladnier; one great-grandson, Gage Ladnier; other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM from St. Margaret Catholic Church in Bayou La Batre, AL. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
