W. Shelton Hendrix, had been an employee and later owner of M&M Wholesale Florist. He was a member of West Mobile Baptist Church and a 1959 graduate of Vigor High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelton C. and Mamie Hendrix, a sister, JoAnne H. Wood and brother, Bobby Hendrix. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn C. Hendrix; sons, Paul Hendrix, Mobile, Scott Hendrix (Teresa) of Cantonment, FL and Thad Hendrix, Mobile; grandchildren, Erin, Megan, Emily, Shelton Hendrix, all of Cantonment, FL and Helen Hendrix, Mobile; brother-in-law, James A. Wood (Dean), Mobile, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10 AM, with Rev. Charles Gibbs and Dr. Andy Wood officiating. Visitation will start at 9 AM. Burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
