Sherril Annette Hanna Allen, born at Fort Rucker, AL and longtime resident of Grand Bay, AL, died suddenly Friday, January 13, 2017 at the age of 56. She was employed by AM/NS in Calvert, AL. She loved gardening, fishing and raising chickens. She was preceded in death by her parents, Col. Bobby Gene Hanna, Sr. (US Army Ret.) and Willodean Choins Hanna; and her sister, Tara. Her survivors include her husband, Douglas Stephen Allen; her children, Andrea Allen (Mike) Rose and Douglas Bradley (Tammie) Allen; seven grandchildren, Aryss and Hayden Rose and Mikaela, Felisha, Kevin, Brinklee and Matthew Allen; her brother, Bobby Gene (Beth) Hanna, Jr.; three canine companions, Maggie, Monster and Winston; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Mrs. Allen's name be made to the ASPCA, 620 Zeigler Cir. W., Mobile, AL 36608 or charity of your choice.
