Stanley Emanuel, Sr.

February 21, 1956 — February 8, 2025

Stanley Brian Emanuel, a resident of Dauphin Island, Alabama, was suddenly called home to the Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the age of 68.

Stanley was born in Mobile, Alabama on February 21, 1956, to the late Comer and Essie Vee Emanual. He graduated from W. P. Davidson High School in 1974, and then went to the University of South Alabama, where he was in Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Over the years, Stanley worked at many jobs. He was a jack of all trades. He worked as a lineman, and was a route salesperson for coffee, Charles Chips, and ice cream. He owned a lawn care business and was Regional Site Safety manager for the past 20 years, for several different companies.

Stanley had many passions in life. He loved not only watching sports but playing himself. He played softball, baseball, and ran track in high school. He played softball in college with fraternity brothers and locally in Mobile and he loved some Auburn Football (War Eagle!). As he got older, he developed a love for bowling, fishing, golf and hunting. He enjoyed taking his family out fishing, including deep-sea fishing, and he participated in the fishing rodeo annually. He played golf tournaments and bowled in tournaments also. Not only did his kids participate in all of his passions, but, he shared his skills with his relatives and friends. He loved his fraternity brothers and high school friends and was still close with many of them. He was a volunteer for American Cancer Society for 18 years. He absolutely loved Mardi Gras and was an active member in Mardi Gras organizations including the Stripers and Mobile Mystics for many years.

Stanley was also a cut up and his humor was infectious . Stanley was a family man. He adored his children and grandchildren and spent time with them

regularly. He was so proud of them all. He had an active role as a father, uncle, brother

grandparent, and great uncle. He loved to attend the kid's games, and events they participated in. He loved his sisters and was always their protector.

Stanley was proceeded in death by his father Comer and his mother Essie Vee Emanuel. He is survived by his loving children: Nicole Medeiros (Kyle), Jessica Rose (Sam) and Stanley Emanuel Jr. (Holleigh); two sisters Susan Case (Gary) and Sheila Wright (Sean); three grandchildren - Ana, Finn, and Lakelyn; nieces and nephews - Tracy, Amber, Stephanie, Gary, and Christopher. He also leaves behind many relatives and countless friends. Stanley, affectionately known as Stan, Stan the Man, and Josh, touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has created a void in the hearts of family and loving

friends. He never met a stranger and was a mentor for many, helping anyone he could. Please remember him as the person he was, and not how his life ended. He had the biggest heart and loved with all of it. His memory lives on through the lives he touched.
