Stephen Condon

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephen Wayne Condon, who left this world peacefully on April 12, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama. At 3:00 pm, Stephen Wayne Condon got his angel wings. Born on November 3, 1954, in Easton, Maine, Stephen lived and worked in several states, from Maine, North Carolina to Alabama, dedicating many years of his life to civil service, his community and especially his family.

Stephen's journey through life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family and country. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, instilling values of honor and perseverance that would resonate throughout the lives he touched. As a man from humble beginnings, he cherished the simple joys of life, from sharing laughter with friends to finding solace in the beauty of nature, especially at the beach or fishing.

Stephen served as a firefighter in Preque Isle, Maine for over 25 years and worked civil service at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After retirement, he and Cathy moved to Alabama to be closer to family, especially the grandkids. Though he battled sickness for the last two years, he continued to fight until he won his battle in the end. God received an amazing husband, father, and PaPa. But most of all, God, took our "Hero" home to Heaven.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 43 years, Cathy, who will miss him deeply, along with his daughters, Angela Davila (Carlos), Amy Collins (Jeremy) and Amanda Rankins (Robert); seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, Mariah, Ian, Logan, Missy, Leia, Kinsley, Aaliyah, Ava and Ariella; other relatives and friends who were blessed to know him. His warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

In celebration of his life, a Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A Funeral Service and Military Honors will commence at 12:00 PM, honoring Stephen's memory and reflecting on the profound impact he made in the lives of many throughout his years.

As we gather to remember Stephen, let us share stories and fond memories, embracing the love and laughter he brought to our lives. He may have departed this earth, but the legacy of his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day. Rest in peace, dear Stephen. You will be missed but never forgotten.
