Stephen Orso

Stephen Keith Orso, 69, beloved Father and Brother, passed away on June 10, 2021. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

He entered this world on February 4, 1952, in Mobile, AL. A graduate of Murphy High School, the University of South Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Law, Steve practiced law for more than 40 years and was an adept defender who thrived in the courtroom. Steve was a proud father and grandfather who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a lifelong fan of Alabama football and especially loved attending Alabama football games with family and friends. Steve was also an avid supporter of University of South Alabama Baseball who loyally traveled across the country to cheer on the team. He also enjoyed spending time with his sons at his hunting camp.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Malvin Eugene Orso and Odessa Hansen Orso, his brother, Tod Orso and his grandson, Tyler Harris.

He is survived by his sister, Susan Orso Stephens (Johnny), and his children, Cyndy Orso Baggett (Jason), Bria Orso Bray (Brad), Braxton Eugene Orso, Jordan Alexander Orso and Braydon Mosley, stepchildren Justin Reynolds and Lauren Reynolds, his grandchildren, Mallory Harris, Zachary Harris, Cassidy Harris and Gavin May and nephew Philip Stephens, nephew Jeremy Stephens (Natalie), niece, Kelly Stephens Baggett (Mason) and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
