It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Jean Robidoux to our Lord and Savior. Sylvia died on July 26, 2020 after a lengthy illness. Sylvia was a woman of great faith and love for her family.Sylvia was a long time resident of Pensacola, Florida but spent her final years with her husband Ray and daughter in Mobile. Not only was her family proud of the devoted wife and mother she was, they were also proud of the fact that Sylvia served as the secretary for the first Bishop of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, Bishop Rene Gracida. Sylvia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Raymond Armond Robidoux Sr., also her loving daughter Claudette (Mike) Flynn .Sylvia is survived by her son Raymond (Lynn) Robidoux Jr., Teresa (Sam) Thompson , Jeanette (Donald) Nelson ,8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, July 31 at 12:30 pm at St. Joan of Arc of Mobile 1260 Elmira Street, Mobile Al. 36604. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM Friday in Alabama State Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 34904 State Highway 225, Spanish Fort, AL 36527. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Association. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
