Terry Lee Givens

Terry Lee Givens, age 68, passed away peacefully in his home, April 29th, 2019 after a hard fight with cancer. Terry was a native of Warren, AR and current resident of Mobile, AL. He was a graduate of Theodore High School and continued his education at the University of South Alabama. Terry married his high school sweetheart Mary Ann Tate who he cherished for 48 years.
Terry and Mary Ann resided in Mobile where they raised their two children (Jennifer and Chuck). Terry enjoyed playing golf, fishing, woodworking, spending time with his family, especially his two grandsons (Tyler Givens and Trey Singleton). Throughout Terry's life his first love was being a husband, father and grandfather.
Terry had a stellar 42-year career with Oliver H. Van Horn as a Branch Manager for Mobile, Al. His work ethic and energy level were admired by clients and colleagues. He and his team provided legendary customer service to clients in the Gulf Coast area. Terry was a loyal, generous, selfless man who was and will always be the patriarch of our family. He will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Fred T. Givens Sr. and Doris E. Dix Givens; his son, Charles D. Givens (Chuck). He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Givens; daughter, Jennifer L. Singleton; grandsons, Tyler H. Given and Harold Edward Singleton III (Trey); brothers, Fred T. Givens Jr. (Doris) and David M. Givens (Peggy); nieces, nephews and family.
The family will receive friends and family at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on May 6th, 2019. Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 followed by a service in the chapel.
