Them Tran

Them Hiep Tran, 74, of Bayou La Batre, AL, peacefully passed away on September 23, 2023, in his home.

He was a caring husband, loved father, brother, and grandfather who was very compassionate and believed in the good grace of the Lord as a member of the Baptist church while living in the Bayou. Mr. Tran was a commercial fisherman and a business owner for many years until he retired to watch the days go by. He was deeply involved in the local community as a leader and had a heart for everyone. He enjoyed fishing by the pier and just watching the simplicity of the scenery down by the Bayou and would be seen driving and cruising the waterside.

He loved his family and his people in the Bayou and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Them is finally united with his son, Hai and will be truly missed.

Them is survived by his wife, Mung; daughter, Thuy; 4 sons, Buton (Nguyet), John, Johnny (Jinny), Charlie (Thuy Si; grandchildren, Ethan, Nova, Roman, Claire, Sofia, Dustin, and Camilla; brother, Tim Pham.

He is preceded in death by his son, Hai, who passed away in 1988.

Them's family will honor his memory and celebrate his life with a funeral service on Saturday September 30, 2023, at 10:00 am at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. His family will have a memorial service on Friday September 30, 2023, from 2:00pm until 6:00 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Family will hold a cremation ceremony on Saturday September 30, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Mobile Funeral Home and Crematory at 690 Zeigler Circle West, Mobile.
