Theresa Diann Allen

Theresa Diann Allen was born on December 3rd, 1943, in Mobile, Alabama., passed away on Monday, September 11th, 2023, in Mobile, Alabama. She was known by her family and friends as "Di or Lady Di," She worked the last 23 years with State Farm Insurance, she will be missed by Craig and Faye whom she worked with side by side every day. Diann worked up until the day she passed.

She is survived her children, Donnie (Teresa) Allen and Mike (Ashley Adams) Allen; loving grandsons Hunter (Holly Kimble) Allen and Nick Allen; sisters Sandy (Mark) Ward her accomplice for the Sunday Boat trips (Biloxi) as they referred to them, Lil (Dewey) Hudman, loving sisters -in law Judy (Tim) Padgett, Brenda (Jerry) Freeman.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Robert "Bob" Allen, Jr., by her parents Hector Leroy Allen, Sr., and her mother Leona Maples Allen, her sister Carol Jean Stevens, and her brother Buddy (Betty) Allen, Jr.

She loved Mardi Gras, she would regularly go to 5 or 6 balls a year, sometimes by herself because Bob just said no, and her reply was "well I will go by myself then" and she did. She was a 30-year active member of Laluna Servante (a Mardi Gras Society). She loved bowling, she started in 1969 in the Blue Flame League (named after Mobile Gas). She bowled in many leagues over the last 50 years. Up until her recent health issues forced her to stop, she bowled several times a week and promised all who would listen she would bowl again one day. She was inducted into the Mobile Bowling Hall of Fame in 2010-2011. She recently traveled to Las Vegas on her annual bowling trip, once again gambling was involved, which is probably why she still worked. Anyway, she traveled with her bowling buddies as she referred to them, they are Debbie Etheridge, Alice Dickson, Dana Gaucher, Sonya Schilling, Kay Gardner, Patricia McClantoc, Robin Soto, Danielle Gaucher, Shelby Sessions, Dena Barnett, and Dorothy Butler.

A chapel service for Diann will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, 09/19/2023 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday 09/19/2023.
