Thomas Miller

Thomas Jerald Miller, age 75, known as Tommy, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at home. Tommy was a devoted husband, father of 3, and Pa to 6 grandchildren. Tommy was a native of Mobile, AL, and a graduate from B.C. Rain High School class of 1965. He married his high school sweetheart and they enjoyed 53 years together. Tommy was preceded in death by his father Thomas Clifton Miller, Jr, his mother Mary Sue Gaddis Mosley. He is survived by his wife Sheila Wise Miller, sons Jerald “Jerry” Miller, Joseph “Joey” Miller, daughter Alice Miller Elmore (Bart), six grandchildren Grace Miller, Will Elmore, Zane Miller, Lilly Miller, AJ Miller, and Isabella Elmore and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tommy and Sheila started their business, Gulf State Hangers, in 1977 in their garage. The company grew to great success and moved to Theodore, AL. Tommy retired in 2016 after 40 years. Tommy was an avid drag racer and could often be found at the race track in his 1973 corvette “Black Magic”. Tommy loved to travel with Sheila. They visited all 50 states, Canada and Germany.
Graveside Services will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 10:00 am followed by a celebration of his life at the Miller home at 11:00 am. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilefuneralservice.com.
