Timothy Claiborne

Timothy (Tim) Joseph Claiborne, 58, of Mobile, AL went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on December 20th, 2016 at his home. Tim was born on November 15, 1958 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the late Earl Sr. and Ethel Claiborne. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his church and his ministry. Tim was the President of Mobile Memorial Gardens, following his calling to serve others in their time of need. He was a graduate of Louisiana State University and loved his TIGERS! Tim loved the water and his favorite times were spent with his family and friends in his boat. As an active member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the community, Tim was involved with St. Vincent de Paul, Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis, Men of St. Joseph, Navy League, numerous bible studies, and was a supporter of many local charities. Tim was the best husband and father that his family could have asked for. He loved his girls and made sure that they knew it every day. Tim was predeceased by his mother Ethel, father Earl and his 2 sisters Kathy and Charlotte. He leaves memories to be cherished by his beloved wife of 33 years Penny Claiborne, Mobile, Alabama; daughters, Melanie Claiborne, Jacksonville, FL and Sara Claiborne-Bouvier and daughter-in-law Melissa, Orlando, FL, brother Earl Claiborne Jr., Texas, sisters Kristin Bourgeois and Jennifer Dobbs Claiborne, Baton Rouge, LA, and countless family and friends.
A mass in celebration of Tim's life will take place on Tuesday December 27th at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Mobile with interment to follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors prior to the mass from 9:30-11:00 AM at Corpus Christi. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Vincent de Paul, Little Sisters of the Poor, or Baptist Children's Home or Mass cards in memory of Tim.
