Tina Gatewood

Resident of Mobile, Tina Michele Gatewood, passed away in her home in Mobile, Alabama on November 3rd, 2023, from Colon cancer. Tina was born March 27th, 1976, in Jackson, Mississippi, to her parents, John and Lynn Wood. Tina had many accomplishments throughout her life and career. Her fruitful career began as she graduated from Belhaven University with two master's degrees in business and management sciences. Although she had been placed in many outstanding positions in her career, she finally found her home as the financial analyst for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Where she was awarded the prestigious "Steel Order of the De Fluery medal", honoring all her hard work and dedication. Alongside her many accomplishments, Tina took much pride in being a wonderful mother. She upheld many roles such as team mom, room mom, JROTC mom, band mom, and many others but most importantly, she was a loving mom. Tina will always be remembered as accomplished, loving, outgoing, selfless, and God fearing. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.

Tina Gatewood is preceded in death by; her beloved grandmother, Lucy "Meme" Cook.

Tina is survived by; her parents, John and Lynn Wood (Lena, MS); her daughter, Emily Gatewood (Mobile, AL); her sons, Austin Gatewood (Mobile, AL) and Dylan Gatewood (Biloxi, MS); and her granddaughter, Caroline Gatewood.

Funeral services for Tina Michele Gatewood will be held on November 11th, 2023, at 2:00 P.M.; at Woodridge Baptist Church (Mobile, AL) with Brother Kevin, pastor of Woodridge, officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 12 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. at Woodridge Baptist Church on November 11th, 2023.
