Tonya Merchant

Tonya Merchant was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and grandmother. Tonya left this world on January 11, 2025, at the age of 67, at home with her devoted husband.

She was born to William O Cobb, Jr.(deceased) and Addies L. Cobb(deceased) on February 18, 1957, in Mobile ,AL with a sister Pamela C. Parker and William Cobb III of Mobile, AL.

Tonya graduated from Theodore High School. Tonya was a payroll supervisor with QMS until she retired.

Tonya was married to Rodney Merchant for 46 years. They had two children Rodney Merchant, Jr spouse Czarina of Virginia Beach, VA and Jared O Merchant spouse Michelle of Mobile, AL, as well as four grandchildren.

Tonya was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church for 40 years. Tonya loved Jesus, her husband, children, grandchildren and church family. Tonya enjoying holiday shopping with her mother and sister. Also, had a love for collecting antiques.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Mobile Memorial Garden at 6100 Three Notch Rd. Theodore, AL 36582. Visitation will be from 12 pm-2 pm, services at 2 pm with grave side services to follow.
