Trey Michael Nelson was received into Heaven on January 15, 2015 at the age of 17. He was born in Mobile, AL, grew up in the Grand Bay/Irvington, AL area and was a student at Alma Bryant High School. Trey will be greatly mourned by his family who treasured and loved him from the moment he was born. He was a young man who treated everyone the same. He could be counted on to do anything for his family and friends. From the oldest member of his family to the youngest child, he treated each with caring kindness and love. His short time on this earth will never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed. Trey was preceded in death by his grandfather, James T. Reese, Jr.; great-grandmother, Mildred Underwood and great-uncle, Tyrone Blackwell. He is survived by his mother, Samantha Reese Nelson; father, Billy Glendon Nelson, Jr.; sisters, Tara Nelson and Tori Nelson; brother, Todd Barber; grandmother, Sandra Reese; great-aunt, Sheri Blackwell; aunts and uncles, Jaime and Trenton Whitehead, Tamara Sheffield and Justin Christian; cousins who were raised together like brothers and sisters since birth; other relatives and many friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Easterling and Jimmy Tyler. Serving as active pallbearers will be Andrew Whitehead, Joseph Bryant, Tristen Patton, Zackery Tyler, Michael Bray and Todd Barber. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
