Troy Allen Markris, age 58, passed away on March 31, 2022 in Mobile, Alabama.
Mr. Markris was born in the state of Texas on November 16, 1963. He worked locally as a registered nurse at USA Knollwood Park Hospital. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help others.
He loved spending time with his family, and those closest to him describe him as a family man with a beautiful heart who loved Jesus, his coffee, fishing, and Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Jack and Mary Markris; maternal grandparents, Flora and Henry Womack; aunt, Patsy Adams; uncle, Aleck Markris.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Deanna Baer Markris; children, Seth Markris, Jared (Brittany) Markris, Trey (Tiffany) Smith and Kassidy Taylor; grandson, Gavin Smith; parents, "Gus" and Margaret Markris; siblings, Julie (Thomas) Papadelias, Mary (Kevin) Archer, and Christina (Paul) Mulhern; aunt, Adrianne Kergis; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Services will be at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 with visitation from 10:00am until the funeral mass at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
