Both of his sons, got the gift of gab and storytelling from their father. He was artistic and loved to pencil draw and take photography. One of his favorite pastimes was simply, taking long walks with his wife.
He is survived by two sons: Troy (Shelley Louise) Shirley, of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and Dale (Diane) Shirley, of Spanish Fort, Alabama.
