Tyler Elmore Obert, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died suddenly Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the age of 14. Tyler was a freshman at Theodore High School; a member of the Theodore High School Band and was an avid Alabama football fan. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, F. Elmore Obert. His survivors include his father, Jeremy Wayne Obert and Latasha Goode; mother, Jennifer Renee Singleton Obert and Billy Thompson; brother, Eric Matthew Obert; sister, Hayden Olivia Thompson; paternal grandmother, Patricia Obert; maternal grandparents, James Thomas and Patricia Singleton; uncles, Chuck (Janice) Obert and William (Robyn) Obert; aunt, Cari (Corey) Burbach; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, January 13, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
