Virginia Mae Carl, 91
Virginia was born on May 11, 1926 in Talladega, AL. She now rests in heavenly peace with her LORD having passed peacefully on the morning of May 12, 2017. Visitation will be held at Memorial Gardens on Three Notch Road in Mobile, AL on Sunday evening 6-8 PM, and funeral services will begin in the chapel Monday at 10 AM.
Virginia was an accomplished woman as mother, wife and homemaker as well as being the 1st female seated on the Civil Service Board in Sylacauga, AL, an area gubernatorial campaign manager in the ‘60s, business owner in 3 cities in Alabama, and an accomplished and published author. She was a long time active member of Life Church in Mobile, and actively shared her faith, prayers and heavenly guidance with her family and all those in her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry L Carl, Sr., and brothers Bob, Richard and Robert and (1) sister Ruby. She is survived by children Nancy Summer (Dan), Sherry Carl English, Rhonda Pierce (Frank), and Jerry Carl (Tina), (3) sisters Ruth, Evelyn, and Mary Jo, (1) brother Joe, (11) grandchildren, and (15) Great Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Virginia touched many lives and left an indelible impression of her faith on each and every one. She would want everyone she touched to know how dear they were to her and how much she appreciated their friendship, their time, and their prayers, especially those who were her care givers in her final days.
