Waid Turner

Waid Butch Turner, a native of Chatom, AL, former resident of Chickasaw, AL and current resident of Mobile, AL, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the age of 89. Mr. Turner was a WWII Navy Veteran, was a former employee of Railway Express and retired from Courtaulds as a Department Manager. He enjoyed traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers. His survivors include his wife of 70 years, Thelma M. Turner; his brother, Cecil Clyde Turner; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. James Newell, will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Masonic graveside services will be conducted by George U. Potter Lodge #912. Graveside honors will be conducted by the US Navy Honor Guard.
Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Mr. Turner's name to your favorite charity. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
