Walter Spragg

Walter Stephen Spragg 1947-2017 A native of Mobile, AL and resident of Theodore, AL died on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the age of 70. Mr. Spragg was a Sunday School Teacher and loved being outdoors. He also loved spending time with his family. He was a State Auditor with the State of Alabama for 41 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Marie Spragg; two daughters, Crystal Spragg, Jenny Spragg; granddaughter, Haleigh Spragg; four brothers, George (Becky) Spragg, Greg (Cookie) Spragg, Michael Spragg and Kevin (Georgie) Spragg. The following is a personal note that Mr. Spragg's granddaughter Haleigh wrote to honor her "Paw Paw". "My Paw Paw was the greatest man that I have ever known. He was more than my grandfather; he raised me to be the woman I am today by being the best example of Christ in every part of his life. He loved his girls, his brothers, his many friends and colleagues. Those who knew him will always remember his kind heart, goofiness and wise words that never failed to better the lives of others. His battle with Parkinson's has finally ended and he is now gone to be with the Lord". Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00 Noon until service time.
